Visiting a new church for the first time can be stressful and awkward. We want to help you get to know us better so you have an idea of what to expect.
What does New Covenant Bible Church believe?
Our statement of faith is posted on our What We Believe page.
Where is New Covenant located?
What time do your Sunday worship services begin?
8:00 AM, 9:20 AM, 11:00 AM, & 5:00 PM.
A Prelude of Praise begins 10 minutes before each service to set the tone for worship.
Children
and Youth Sunday Classes
Adult Bible Fellowship Classes
Do you have classes for adults on Sunday mornings?
Our Adult Bible Fellowship communities meet on Sunday's at 8:00 AM,
9:20 AM, 11:00 AM, & 6:30 PM. It's here you can experience fellowship and connection
with others while studying the Bible. The Adult Bible Fellowship's are ongoing
which allows relationships to develop. New people are always welcome.
Where should I park?
Parking spaces are available on the north, west and east sides of the New Covenant facility and we have several entrances into the building. Handicap parking spaces have been clearly designated as well. Our facility has been designed for public and wheelchair access to accommodate participation in worship services, Adult Bible Fellowships, Children’s Church, Sunday school and nursery care. (We apologize that currently
Middle School and Sr. High activities located in the lower level are not wheelchair accessible.) Because New Covenant has been experiencing a tremendous and continuous growth cycle, we suggest you plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early in order to find a good parking space. You may also park on side streets, but we request that you practice good-neighbor etiquette and avoid using or blocking personal driveways.
Is someone available to help me know what to do?
Before each worship service, greeters will meet you every Sunday as you enter the church building. (Click here for a detailed map of our
facility.) These greeters are available to assist you and help you feel comfortable with your new surroundings. If you have detailed questions about specific practices or activities, he or she may direct or escort you to the Welcome Center in our church lobby.
Is your worship service easy to follow? Will I know what to do?
Our order of worship is listed in the weekly bulletin that you will receive from one of our ushers at the entrance to the Worship Center. The
service is straightforward and easy to follow.
The words to most hymns and contemporary choruses will be projected onto overhead screens in the front. On any given Sunday, our worship team may use a variety of musical instruments: organ, piano, keyboard, guitar, drums, or full orchestra. We are blessed with skilled and dedicated worship leaders to guide us in a meaningful worship experience.
Often we will view selected drama presentations and enjoy special music, Scripture reading, and personal reflections. Our worship service at New Covenant typically runs 1 hour and 15 minutes in length with an offering halfway through the service. Visitors are not expected to give anything toward the weekly offering.
Our Senior Pastor customarily presents a solid, biblical sermon punctuated with personal application that he has prepared during the week. The sermon usually lasts about 40 minutes. Communion is served the second Sunday of each month. All visitors who know Jesus Christ as their Savior are invited to participate in the Lord’s Supper celebration.
During summer months, our pastoral staff often prepares individual sermon material for our edification. We appreciate the gifted individuals and couples that God has brought to minister with us at New Covenant. We trust that your time at New Covenant will both encourage you in your walk with Christ and effectively equip you to serve our Lord and Savior.
Do you have a time for meeting people and refreshments each Sunday?
Refreshments are served in the Activity Center following the 8:00 AM and 9:20 AM
services, enjoy a cup of coffee, glass of juice or a donut. Use this informal time to get to know others. A minimal donation is suggested to cover costs.
Will I have to stand up or be singled out as a guest?
No, because many of us are not comfortable in front of large groups, we wouldn’t want to risk embarrassing you. Everyone attending our Worship Service is asked to fill out a
communication card (found in the middle of your worship bulletin) and place it in the box as you leave the Worship Center.
Although it is not required, we would encourage you to complete this Communications Card. We want to know who you are, so we may send you a brochure with more information about our church. If you should request prayer or a pastoral visit, we would like to accommodate your needs.
Should I dress up for church at New Covenant?
Most people dress according to their own comfort levels, but it is entirely a personal decision. On Sunday mornings, you will find men and women in suits and dresses as well as in slacks and jeans. Because of children’s activities, summer and Wednesday evening clothing tends to be a bit more casual. Although we are committed to opening our hearts and lives to anyone in need, we would suggest clean, modest attire.
Will I find other people my age?
Those who attend New Covenant range in age from just a few days old to the
"Young at Heart" (retirement age). We offer various Sunday School classes
for children and adults, based on ages and areas of interest. There are also
specific study and social groups such as our
Homebuilders,
Starting Point, (designed for newcomers),
women’s Bible studies,
men’s groups,
Middle School
and
Senior High youth activities plus much, more more.
