Prelude of PraiseEveryone has "those days" - even on Sunday! After getting the kids dressed, fed, and transported to Sunday School classes (we won’t mention other unexpected events like shoveling snow or finding a parking space!), we need to prepare to meet the Lord. Prelude of Praise provides a worshipful environment to help us slow down and separate ourselves from the hurried world we live in. Prelude of Praise begins in the Worship Center 10 minutes before each Sunday morning service. This time of preparation for worship may include solos, duets, trios, quartets, children's choirs, orchestra, handbells, congregational singing, organ or piano music, and even drama from time to time. No two weeks are alike. Sometimes the time is upbeat and joyous; other times it is quiet and contemplative. The purpose is the same: to lead us into the presence of God. We are grateful for all those in our church family who are willing to use their talents and gifts to help us transition from our focus on the pressures of earthly life to focus on the Lord. So we invite you to come early to the Worship Center, set the busyness of the week aside, and prepare to worship with us. (Psalm 100:2) For more information about our Prelude of Praise, or how you may be involved, please contact Gary Hoobler, Worship Pastor, by e-mail or at the church office (319) 395-0021. |
