MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms - moms who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS is about:
• Celebrating motherhood
• Meeting needs
• Making connections
• Experiencing God's love through relationships and resources
MOPS helps moms to establish loving, caring relationships with other moms in the same stage of mothering. Moms share ideas, concerns, and adult conversation with each other in a warm environment, while their children are being lovingly cared for by a staff of dedicated volunteers. During the meeting, children have the opportunity to sing, hear Bible stories, make crafts and play in a loving and supervised environment.
New Covenant Bible Church began its MOPS group in 1989 and has been blessed by God to have grown to 125 women today. Each meeting features a topic based on mothering, friendship or relationships with others; a time for discussion, and a craft time. MOPS is nondenominational, so you need not be a member of New Covenant Bible Church or any other church to attend—anyone is welcome!
